Obama is such a bitch

President Obama's schedule 'doesn't allow for a meeting' with Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer as she requests to speak with him as tensions mount over immigration law.

President Obama has turned down Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer's request to meet while she's in Washington next week as tensions mount between his administration and Arizona over the state's new law cracking down on illegal immigrants.
Brewer will be in Washington to meet with other governors. She said Friday that she had asked to meet with Obama and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to discuss border security and immigration but Obama's schedule "doesn't allow for a meeting" with her, White House spokesman Adam Abrams said, adding that the president "does intend to sit down with the governor in the future."

So the President has time to fly out to San Francisco last week to attend a fund raiser for Barbara Boxer, and he can go on vacation instead of going to Arlington National Cemetery for Memorial Day, but he doesn't have time to meet with a governor on the front lines of the southern invasion while she is in D.C.  How lame is that?

Whoops, actually he flew out this week during all the turmoil with North Korea and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. I forgot that was this week that I saw the Presidential helicopters when I flew into SFO.

I think he's voting "present", and taking a sabbatical.
All that fundraising is mighty tiring, doncha know!

He did meet with Brewer. And a lot of what Americans want is symbolism. He went to Normandy last year for D-Day but gotta have a show every year. I am not much for symbolisms and more care about actions; so having a president who makes sure the veterans get the benefits they are promised, who doesn't send them to war ill-equipped, who fights wars only when needed without some silly words of bring 'em on, that's what matters to me. I am not going to defend Obama on a lot of this as his actions are not yet defined, but symbolisms fool a lot of people into thinking someone cares when their actions go the exact opposite and you know who I mean...

He met with Brewer after he had time to check the polls and find out that people wanted him to. He never does anything without waiting to see which way the wind is blowing. And with nearly everything he is saying one thing and doing another. He lambastes Wall Street until he needs them for campaign fundraising or a photo op. He says jobs are the number 1 priority while having 3 other number one priorities and then launches a bunch of job killing initiatives. At least with Bush he didn't wait to see what his position was, he pretty much stuck to his guns.

Bush stuck to those who supported him or maybe who told him what to do. He never wavered from his own side and their goals. Obama doesn't have a side with that kind of cohesion.

And if you don't like him, try to make sure Republicans present a real, viable alternative next time. You won't get rid of him if you select a tea party type and you know it. You will get your own people but never get the middle with an extremist especially not as soon as people figure out what they really stand for. A lot like the idea of less government until they find out what that would mean... Select someone fiscally conservative, socially more liberal (or at least stay out my personal choices), and you might even get my vote.

Look at what Nevada did with selecting that tea party favorite and now we find out she'd like to go back to prohibition, get rid of all Social Security, Medicare, like Scientology, and who knows what else. With that kind of candidate, Reid will probably get in again and he wouldn't have with any reasonable choice. Driving through Nevada, the center part, I saw all kinds of signs saying anybody butt Reid but when they find out what this woman really stands for they might not be so sure...

That is too bad that Nevada chose a nut-bar in their quest to get rid of Reid. California has done that a couple of times with Senators and they last one term and are gone. I guess that is one good thing about them being one of 100, if the voters make a mistake it is not like making a mistake with the presidential vote. Hopefully they will still get rid of Reid and pick a real candidate next time. Kind of like the Palestinians will hopefully vote Hamas out.

Extremist?
Do you honestly feel qualified to try to define the word, rain?!!

This election will be interesting, for sure. At this point, I'm thinking Lassie could win, running against Reid. She's certainly more intelligent.

Time will tell about Nevada. But do you think it's reasonable to go back to Prohibition? Is that the less government you tea partiers had in mind?
